A personal message from James "Ricky" Gray

First of all, I would like to thank God and the residents of Ward 2 for giving me this opportunity to represent them.

I decided to run for public office because I felt that I could produce positive changes for my constituents as well as the City of Natchez. I am attending classes through the Mississippi Municipal League that are enabling me to become a better elected official while allowing me to promote positive growth in my community. After graduation from the Mississippi Municipal League, I will become the first certified elected official in the City of Natchez.

My first responsibility is to be responsive to the needs of my constituents, seeing that improvements are made and problems are addressed efficiently, and I will lend an attentive ear to anyone that needs my help. My assigned responsibility as an elected official is the Natchez Fire Department and I feel that we have one of the best fire departments in the state of Mississippi.

My position as Alderman gives me an opportunity to capitalize on one of my greatest strengths, which is communicating with others, and I believe that one can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

I will continue to keep God first and do everything I can to serve my constituents and to help the City of Natchez move forward in all aspects.

Thank you,

James “Rickey” Gray
