A personal message from Mark Fortenbery

This is an exciting time for the City of Natchez and I am honored to serve as a representative of this community.  As Alderman of Ward 5, my job is to be a mouthpiece for the citizens of my ward and a civil servant to the community.  Talking with people and helping them address concerns in their city are my main priority.

It is my job to do all that I can to help this community grow in a way that will be attractive not only to visitors but to the citizens of Natchez.  This includes economic development, recreation, education and city infrastructure.  Making these a priority enables us to maintain a city that is destined for growth.

Mark is currently serving his first term as alderman.  He serves on the Recreation Committee, Education and Ordinance Committee, Public Properties Committee and is Chairman of the Street Committee.

Mark is a life-long resident of Natchez.  He has been married for 17 years and has one daughter.  He is an active member of First Baptist Church and is employed by Fortenbery Operating Company.
