The Community Development Department is charged with listening to the concerns, needs and wishes of the residents of Natchez and providing professional services that manage the City of Natchez’s growth and development while stimulating the economy, preserving our neighborhoods, enhance the overall quality of life, and promote growth and prosperity.
Currently the Community Development Department provides:

• Community Engagement Programs including Neighborhood Watch, Beautification Projects, and other related programs
• Provides meeting services for neighborhoods and organizations to allow for open discussions
• Hosting of Educations Forums for the general public as well as people directly related to the 
  Public School System
• Provides Housing information and assistance as needed
• Provides various public programs and activities for area youth 
• Keep Natchez-Adams County Beautiful Program
